Oct 19 Fri
National Women's Business Council Meeting
9:00 am – 11:30 am

NWBC is holding its meeting at this iconic venue through the assistance of NWBC Member, and former IndyCar and NASCAR driver, Sarah Fisher. The founder and team co-owner of Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, Fisher is the fastest woman to ever qualify for the Indy 500, the first woman to qualify fastest for a major North American open-wheel event, and the youngest woman to ever compete at the legendary Speedway.

Her three-year appointment to NWBC in 2011 reflected Fisher's commitment to representing women in the male-dominated sports and entertainment industry. It also reflects Fisher's longtime commitment to working with small businesses, particularly local parts suppliers for her team's vehicles.

Who: The National Women's Business Council is a nonpartisan, independent federal council created to advise the president, Congress and the U.S. Small Business Administration on issues important to women business owners. NWBC members are prominent women business owners and leaders of women's business organizations. The Council is comprised of 15 members, including the presidentially-appointed chairwoman.
